What a difference a year makes

It’s just short of a year since I had my first shoot with the wonderful Lulu Lockhart, and I’ve worked with her quite a few times since. Unfortunately other photographers have noticed what a great model she is as well, and so she tends to gets booked up well in advance. However, that fits in with my way of working as I also plan most of my shoots well in advance. This year that will include two trips to visit photographers who I know very well online, and who I am really looking forward to meeting and working with in person, both of whom wanted Lulu to come along of course!

I love working with Lulu, the shoots are so enjoyable as she is fun to work with, she’s very versatile and suits so many locations, and she’s also creative and hard working, which encourages creativity in me and makes me work that little bit harder to get the best possible images.

So here’s some of the images I’ve worked on recently, starting with a very classical pose leaning against the pillar in a barn.

Sitting on the edge of a large chest, as you do!

We got loads in this beautiful shaft of light against a super dark background.

And the light was particularly special here, nice and soft and coming from both directions and beautifully highlighting her lovely figure with a simple natural pose.

Now I owe Lulu an apology for this one, as I broke one of the cardinal rules of location photography, I forgot to check for dead things before asking her to get into the bath. I’m hoping that I’m forgiven because of the beautiful light :-S

And when I posted this one elsewhere someone suggested that I clone wings onto her to make a composite image, but I quite like it as it is, and I think it would have been beyond my Photoshop skills anyway!

With all the amazing images we’ve produced in the first year we’ve worked together I can’t wait to see what we produce this year. Thank you Lulu.
