I’ve been giving talks to camera clubs since November 2012. My first talk was to Wrekin Arts, at the instigation of the late great Irene Froy. My first talk was titled “Have I got nudes for you”, so that clubs were not confused about what type of talk they were booking!
As I am quite prolific I have produced many more talks since then, and my most popular talk this year is a new talk titled “Nude Iceland”. I’m really pleased to be presenting this talk to my own club Smethwick Photographic Society on Thursday 19th February 2026 at 8pm, it will be the eighth time I have given a talk to my club. I’ll be presenting the talk digitally, but will be displaying 30 A2 prints around the walls of the lecture theatre, as images of Iceland generally look best when viewed large. Visitors are welcome who want to watch it on streaming at a cost of £5.
Here’s a very small selection of the sort of images that will be in the talk, starting with Iceland’s famous Lupines and Lutheran churches and Lulu.

Basalt columns, and not the famous ones.

Quite a few of this famous mountain. No matter what the weather conditions there’s always a shot.
A waterfall just outside a cave, giving directional lighting. The cave was handy as it was raining heavily.
Lulu and ice, a great combination.
Slightly different shots from a well known beach.
Regina and the well known mountain, with a variety of compositions.
Regina and the lesser known basalt.
Iceland has an uncountable number of waterfalls, but here’s three of the well known ones.
A couple of Regina with the well known beach.
And finally one of Regina at one of her favourite locations.
Many thanks to Lulu and Regina for all of these great shots, and to Rebecca who also appears in the talk.
