I only post a very small proportion of the images I take. At each location a model will often do a great range of poses, and beforehand we will have decided on one or more different compositions, as sometimes you can’t see at the time which composition may be best.
Afterwards when processing, I then have to choose which images from a particular set to process and that leave lots of potentially great images unedited. Also, I can go back through images later, sometimes many years later, and decide that my choice of which are the best images or processing style has changed.
With the new advanced masking and other raw processing features in LightRoom I can now edit many more images in a short period of time. So, as an example, here’s 20 images I have chosen that I really like from a particular set of Lulu (of which there were 88 images in total!), taken in 2015 on a great trip to see Håkon Grønning. I think I’ve only previously edited 2 or 3 of these images.
I think they’re all great, but you can see the dilemma I have every time I go to edit images. It’s a good job that I’m not indecisive, otherwise I’d never get around to posting any images!
Feel free to mention your favourites in the comments.

Many thanks to Lulu for all the great poses, and making my life so pleasantly difficult :)

LOL LOVELY The story of my life. I just finished editing all “editable” images from my 2022 Iceland trip (several hundred). I wanted to edit them before the trip this year because I know I would not touch them again for a long time with the newer images coming. To your point, it is so much easier to edit now that its easier to be very productive. I made a commitment that I will not stop editing until all decent images are done, even though most of them will never see the light of day again. It’s almost morally wrong to not do it ! lol Plus it’s a pleasure to see them finished. ;) I may even go back and edit images from many years ago. My style has changed so much that images I took 10 years ago look like crap to me now!
