I spend a lot of time researching locations online, but unlike some who are able to reconnoitre a place before they shoot there, I don’t really know what a location is like until i get there.
For the last of my trips with Lulu, I was looking for a place halfway between our AirBnB and the airport, where we could have a rest break, and also maybe shoot a little on our last day when returning home. I found a location, but had never seen any images from there by other photographers or models, so didn’t hold out much hope for photographing there.
I was very pleasantly surprised when we got to the location, as it was a lovely gorge, and was human sized rather that some of the large gorges you get in the US and other places.
Here’s the images we produced, and well done to Lulu for all the great poses using the extreme top lighting to best advantage. I love how the reflected light off the rocks changed Lulu’s skin tone.
Many thanks Lulu for this and all of our trips.
