A grand day out! – Part 1

I, like many photographers, enjoy the social side of photography just as much as the production of images, so I was really pleased to go along to a day organised by the talented Tabitha Boydell. There were a number of photographers, models and make-up artists there there, none of whom I had worked with before, and it was a really fun and productive day. We worked on a one to one basis, swapping around at regular intervals, and I thought I’d share some of the images, although there’s lots more to come.

The venue has a lot of music events, and the stage looked quite interesting. I did think of turning the background totally black, but left a hint of detail so that you could see it wasn’t just a studio. A great pose by the super Silk Younger, more images to come in front of this white thing with other models as well.

The staircase was also very interesting, with some nice light falling on the lovely Dahlia Rose. I love the graffiti in the background.

I borrowed a few dresses, and I thought the elegance of them worked very well with the urbex-style surroundings. Here’s the stunning Jasmine Sumner.

And I found Minh-Ly to be a superb model, very expressive here in the gents loo! I also love the graffiti face in the mirror :)

Minh-Ly and Dahlia Rose also did some great duo shots, something I’ve never really done before, lying on the rather less than clean floor! I warmed one of the up slightly, and left the other more muted.

I also got to shoot with the lovely Olivia Rose, I did some portraits to show off the super work of the Make-Up Artists.

And Olivia does some great dance poses, and did very well posing on the old piano.
