I sometimes think that I must come up with a schedule for my blog posts, as there are more and more models and shoots where I work on images, and then get distracted and the images don’t get to see the light of day. This is the case with the lovely Gemma and a great shoot we had at Pipewell hall last June. Conversely, I have to be organised for my day job, so I think I would likely be less creative if I try to put too much structure on my hobby.
On to the shoot, Gemma is an extremely versatile model, able to pull off most genres, and I’ve seen some super fashion and hair shots of her – I can imagine that some of her hairdos take absolutely hours of preparation by the stylist. However, as I’m a bit of a one trick pony we mainly did nudes, although we did also do a few shots on one of the beds.
The hall has a grand entrance.
While we did some without the red flower I think it does add something to the image.
A few on the bed.
I quite like the little bits of interest in this corner.
All of the rooms at the hall are really beautiful, I love the grandeur of the place.
It was an enjoyable and productive day, and it had an amusing ending. We’d had our first shoot together the previous month, and I’ve shared the images in a previous post. I gave her some prints from that shoot in an unsealed card-backed envelope, but she accidentally left them in the coffee shop at the railway station. Thankfully they were handed in, but for some reason the waitress was a little embarrassed when they were retrieved the following day, can’t think why ;-)
Thank you to Gemma for a great shoot, and hopefully the images from our great little Irish adventure last November will be making an appearance shortly :)

Magnificent work. Gem looks incredible and such a beautiful setting and lighting.
Thank you David, she is an excellent model and worked very well with the location.
Great work, Tim, as ever.
Sorry I missed this post – like your use of the venue and Gemma skin tones work well.
