As mentioned in my previous post I have edited a lot more images recently, and because I love images in their printed form I’ve also managed to complete not one but two new photobooks.
I did a photobook with images of Lulu in early 2016 after we’d been working together for around 18 months, and for some time have been meaning to do one with more recent work but never quite got around to it.
The first book had 106 pages, was printed by Blurb, and was 33cm x 28cm. While it’s a really nice-sized book I found an offer for A3 sized books from another company and thought I’d give them a try. Due to the 40cm x 30cm paper size being a closer match to the 3×2 aspect ratio of my camera the images in the book are a whopping 75% larger in area.
Here’s a few photos of the new books, and a size comparison with my previous book. I was very pleasantly surprised with the paper and image quality and the colour fidelity.
Here’s some of the newer images from the books, you’ll find a lot of the other images in past blog posts. The first few are Lulu with some of the dresses that we use on location.
We’ve also done a number of images in studios, we prefer studios with interesting props rather than plain backgrounds.
This one was edited to celebrate when cinemas were allowed to open again in the UK!
And finally some outdoor shots.
Many thanks to Lulu for all of the great images we have created, and it’s so nice to be able to see them in book form. For anybody interested it was a Groupon offer for Colorland, and you can also get 2 copies in the offer which I did so that Lulu has her own copy as well.
