Shooting in a grand house can give you some great opportunities for images, especially where the house has some nice corridors or staircases, as they can give some interesting compositions. A nearby window is also useful for lighting.
Here’s some images of Lulu is some houses we have visited, and many thanks to my friends who got me access to them, you know who you are ;)
This was a fab corridor.
Another great corridor, with interesting colours, and light provided by an open door and skylight.
And onto staircases, I think Lulu’s pose is perfect to fit in with all the shapes here.
This is the same staircase, but looking from above which gives a completely different image. You can also see the window that was providing the light in the previous image.
And this staircase also worked best when viewed from above.
There are only so many ways to can balance on the bottom of this bannister!
Many thanks to Lulu for her great modelling, and also to all my friends who suggest these wonderful locations and get me access to them. Anybody who knows any houses with owners who appreciate art please do let me know :)
