Well I know it’s supposed to be ‘Calendar Girls’ but while I am not generally politically correct I prefer the term I have used as they are all young, intelligent, empowered and creative women, and I think of myself as extremely fortunate to have produced so many wonderful images working with so many of them.
It was a very difficult choice but I have chosen 13 images from 13 different models for this year’s calendar, and huge apologies to the models who didn’t make it into the calendar, it’s no reflection on the work we produced but I had to make the choice somewhere (cue emails from omitted models)! They are also not necessarily my best images, but they are images I like. Also the images for the calendar have to generally be in vertical format and be able to be cropped to the A3 aspect ratio.
I produce a calendar as I never know what to buy people for Christmas, and I think this is a nice unique personal gift. They hang in many friends and relatives kitchens, meaning that the work of myself and the models is viewed by a quite varied audience of people outside of the normal photographers/models bubble. If you are a friend or relative likely to get a calendar then please stop reading now, as otherwise it won’t be a surprise :)
So here we go in a pretty random order, apart from the front cover which is an extremely special image for me, Pearls with Nanette McCrone. Which also provided the title of the calendar ‘Pearls Of Beauty’.
January – Erosanne while she was doing some decorating.
February – Madame Bink who is scared of heights, next to a sheer drop
March – Ivory Flame sheltering from the rain.
April – Katy Cee making a bag of Morrison’s flour look majestic.
May – Raphaella against a perfect sunset.
June – Chrissie Red on a big twig.
July – Kayeligh Lush, sorry you can’t see your face Kayleigh but this one just had to be included.
August – Fredau braving a cold and dirty location – all the best ones are!
September – Ella Rose, I’ll leave you to guess how we did this.
October – Cass against some beautiful window light.
November – This young woman is no longer modelling nude, so out of respect I will not name her.
December – And last but not least Joceline, with the nearest thing I could get to an image of a Christmas tree!
Thank you to all of the models concerned, you are all going to make a lot of people’s Christmas even happier :)

Nice work on the re-cropping! I like the exposure on your Christmas Tree. Interesting choice for January. Stepping into the new year?
The images do look strangely different when re-cropped Mr. Pope, but I think they all work. I hadn’t thought of that as January, but you are right stepping from one year to the next, well imagined.
The calender looks great! A beautiful range of colours, textures and wonderful lighting.
Joceline makes a pretty amazing angel on top of the christmas tree! :-)
You selected so fine images for your calender here Tim. Hope you are going to send me one.
