I used to post far too many images in a blog post, which could detract from the the images somewhat. So learning from that I’m splitting images into more posts. My last blog post was images from a great trip with Lulu to Tuscany, which contained countryside shots. This post is shots of some of the lovely buildings, but with a few more olive grove shots as well, as Elizabeth particularly liked the shot there in the last post.
It’s always worth trying to find somewhere to stay where you can get some images, and on this occasion it worked out very well, as Lulu’s bedroom has some beautiful light, as well as some nice traditional Tuscan colours.
And my bedroom had a nice wardrobe in it as well.
Some people think that I must reconnoitre locations before we shoot there, but we are just winging it, and using our experience, online research beforehand, and a bit of luck to find places to shoot at.
By driving down a road that looked like it could have potential we found this super building, which happened to be at the side of a road so it was very much a flash and dash, fortunately we work together so well we can do these things very very quickly.
And as I mentioned in the introduction Elizabeth loved the olive grove image in the last post, so here some more images from there, as I promised here – if there’s too many images in this post blame her ;)
My thanks, as always, to Lulu for bringing so much pleasure to my photography, and making our shoots so enjoyable and productive.

Hi Tim,
What a great set of images. I have never been to Italy but when I go, Tuscany will be the place, hopefully with a model too!

Cheers John. It’s a beautiful place, but rather tricky to shoot there, as we found out.
I always love your posts of the work you do with Lulu. These are great shots.
I thought I’d leave my ‘like’ and comment here this time since you mention a lot of people don’t use the link. I guess it’s today’s desire for instant gratification.
Chers Paul. So many people only see the image I post on FB and don’t see all of the other images, mainly because they don’t read the text, as you say instant gratification and just liking as they scroll past. It’s a shame as they miss a lot of images.
Not reading the text is like waving at your neighbors but never talking with them.🙊
