Well after five blog entries in July, this month is looking a little barren due to holidays and other things. So I thought it would be a good idea to get at least one post under my belt, and then I can hopefully knock up a few more over the coming Bank Holiday weekend.
You may think I have been slacking, but actually I am drowning in a sea of great images of the models I have worked with – no apologies here, it’s a nice problem to have – I do a bit of work on one image and then I see another one that looks interesting and move over to that one, and so it goes one. Eventually some of them get finished!
Here are a small selection of the images from some of the sets I am currently working on, and the eagle-eyed amongst you will notice a couple of things, they are all of the delightful Holly and they are all remarkably different – well apart from the fact that Holly is in all of them of course!
I find it amazing that some photographers will only work with a model once or twice, and then not work with the model again as they don’t think they can get any different shots. I do wonder whether they are working with the same models as me, and whether it’s a bit of a lack of creativity on their part.
I have worked with Holly on quite a number of occasions – runs out of fingers and starts using toes while counting :) – and I feel that we are nowhere near exhausting either of our creativities, and we both work extra hard to get different images on each occasion. There are a number of other models I could say the same about, I won’t name them but just check out my blog and website to get some clues to who they are.
On with the show…
Holly on a rock – skin colour changed to blend in with the rocks more |
Holly in a big arch – interesting story to be told about this shoot |
Holly next to a windmill |
Holly in an arch |
Holly in one of the ‘dresses’ I purchased so I could do some fashion ;) |
Love Holly’s expression in this, very wide angle lens but managed to minimise any distortion that normally leads to long limbs |
Messing about with a treatment, still work in progress (Yes it was windy and cold!) |

Lovely images of beautiful Holly, I know what you mean about working more than twice with the same model. Actually I think the creativity becomes more adventurous the more you work with someone, you can experiment more and perhaps create something unique.
Why search for silver once you’ve found the goldmine?
Some great location images Tim.
Certainly agree with UP comments.
Thanks for all the nice comments.
RascallyFox, I have found with the right models that creativity and productivity definitely go up the more times you work with them.
Very topical and very true Mr Pope :)
