One of the best models I have ever worked with is Katy Cee, and not only have I never really mentioned her here before, I also had an amazing shoot with her nearly a year ago and have only just got around to looking at the images, mainly because there are so many great ones and it’s a daunting task, sorry Katy :-s
I worked with Katy at the studio of Rob Southall, who as well as being a talented photographer is extremely generous and let me use his studio on a number of occasions, both on joint shoots and on my own. Sadly Rob has now sold the studio, but before he did I managed to do shoots with quite a few dancers, and as the studio used to be a squash court its sprung floor was perfect for them.
I have literally hundreds of great images from that day, but these are just a few from one set that I particularly like. These have just been fiddled with in Lightroom and will need more playing around with before I use them in competitions.
So, please enjoy, and tell me your favourites..
While I am not really a studio worker – I have never used a flash meter to set lights – I have had more new successes with shots taken in Rob’s studio. A FIAP gold medal in the Tallaght salon in Ireland with The Piano and another FIAP gold medal fron Novi Sad with En Pointe. So thank you Nanette and Kayleigh, again!
Katy, I had just a brilliant fun and productive day with you, so a big thank you, and any photographer who has never worked with her – just book her, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed, the only problem will be what to do with all the great images!

Number 6 is my favourite for pose, composition and light, it’s like she’s flying up a milky way of flour. Love 3 as well. Katy is amazing indeed, such an incredible model!
Worked with Kate twice now and see is an amazing Lady to work with. Like the last 3 in the series Tim
At first glance I thought these were water photos. Very cool stuff. It’s obvious Katy C is quite the gymnast. I like the use of the powder. Endless possibilities.
In number 4 it looks like she was shot from a cannon.
Thank you Holly, Richard and Mr Pope for your comments.
I hadn’t really noticed No. 6 but it is quite interesting, also I think I may make them cooler to give an more enhanced feeling of being underwater.
